Job summary

A family-owned automotive dealership in Raleigh is seeking an Entry-Level Parts Sales Associate. The candidate will oversee the parts sales process, communicate effectively with customers, and provide exceptional service. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with auto parts sales, while strong organizational and time management skills are essential. This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits including medical and dental coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with auto parts sales (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Review body shop estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
