Job summary

Carlisle Cadillac Buick GMC is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our parts team. You will greet customers, understand parts needs, and process sales with a friendly, professional attitude.

You will read parts catalogs, provide quotes, handle phone inquiries, and ensure accurate stock and billing. A valid driver's license, rural availability and a high school diploma are required. This full-time on-site role offers growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience and parts knowledge is a plus.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Flexible work schedule will include some Saturdays.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Capability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customer on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Reviewes body shop estimates to be sure parts ordered are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
• Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Maintain a weekly bin check to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials needing attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits an emergency order if necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be dependable.
