Job summary

Webb Automotive Group is seeking a Parts Counterperson to handle end-to-end parts sales, communicate with customers on status, and prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup. The role emphasizes accuracy in pricing, order fulfillment, and warranty part handling in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, preference for auto parts sales experience, strong organization, and the ability to work efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Must have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Receive and process payment from retail customers or obtaining credit authorization.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all authorized requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer phone calls; provide price quotes and other information.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure all warranty parts are returned and tagged according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

• Tuesday: 7:00am-4:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:00am-7:00pm
• Thursday: 7:00am-3:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am-4:00pm
• Saturday: 7:30am-3:00pm
• Hour lunch every day

The ideal candidate for this position has strong customer service skills and the ability to manage inventory while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
