Robert Brogden Buick GMC is seeking a Parts Counterperson to support our team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role requires quick, professional interaction with customers and internal staff in a fast-paced automotive parts environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, experience in auto parts sales preferred, and strong organizational skills to manage orders, stock, and pricing inquiries effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• Fast-paced work environment experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, and volumes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers on parts status.
• Communicate with co-workers and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials needing attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders if necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
