Overview

Our Parts Counterperson will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, supplying parts from dealership inventory, and procuring parts not in stock, following dealership guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer parts or information requests.
• Communicate delays and offer alternatives.
• Determine availability and pricing, documenting as necessary.
• Provide parts from stock, procure locally, or create parts orders.
• Monitor order status, inform customers of issues, and notify upon arrival.
• Build relationships and deliver quality customer service with urgency.
• Assess parts availability and lead times.
• Respond timely to high volumes of calls and in-person customers.

Qualifications

• Parts experience, especially in a truck or automotive dealership or aftermarket, preferred.
• Trade school education in Parts Operations or Transportation Technology preferred.
• Basic PC skills and understanding of PC systems.
• Participation in educational classes as directed.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for most of an 8-hour shift.

Educational Requirements
