Job Summary

We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED PARTS COUNTERPERSON to join our team.

A Parts Counterperson will assist walk-in customers and over the phone, fulfilling requests and orders for parts. If the part is not in stock, they must advise the customer if there is another suitable replacement and alert the customer when the order comes in. They will also monitor inventory to see how much of any specific part is in stock and record item numbers to ensure parts are always available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
• Complete special order part requests for customers
• Communicate with customers on parts status
• Communicate professionally with staff and customers
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, professional appearance, and strong work ethic
