Border International in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Parts Counterperson focused on delivering excellent customer service and driving sales. You will recommend equipment, provide product information, and follow up on leads to generate revenue.

You will collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives and distributors to identify new opportunities and expand the customer base. The role requires 2 years of inside sales experience (preferred), strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 2 years of Inside Sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge in the transportation industry is a plus.
• Proven account management or related experience.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
• Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills.
• Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The Parts Counterperson provides product customer service & information to help them determine appropriate equipment to purchase. Recommends additional products, accessories, or services to meet customer requirements. Generates sales revenue by answering telephone calls; verifying and entering items; transferring orders to fulfillment; explaining product features.

Responsibilities:

• Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
• Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
• Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
• Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
• Answering potential customers’ questions and sending additional information per email.
• Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
• Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
• Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
• Staying informed about competing products and services.
• Upselling products and services.
• Researching and qualifying new leads.
• Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
• Work closely with OSSR (Outside Sales Representatives) and distributors to acquire new opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Inside Sales experience (Preferred).
