Border International Trucks in Alamogordo, NM is hiring a Lead Parts Counterperson to join our team and drive parts sales by providing friendly, professional service to customers.

As part of a leading heavy-duty truck dealer group, you will work with service and parts teams to ensure accurate ordering, pricing, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 6+ months related experience.
• Flexible schedule; some Saturdays required.
• Must have computer proficiency.
• Team oriented and customer-focused.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Update backordered parts list with counter staff twice weekly.
• Train new parts personnel on procedures and system.
• Coordinate with service department to ensure efficient processes.
• Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional manner.
• Track metrics to hit monthly and yearly parts/service goals.
• Inform customers about companion parts and specials.
• Take calls, provide price quotes and information promptly.
• Verify parts against body shop estimates to ensure accuracy.

If your career goals include making a valuable contribution as a Lead Parts Counterperson in an exciting and growing company and working with top professionals in the industry, then consider joining our team, We are seeking enthusiastic, hard-working, customer-oriented individuals who can work in a team environment as a Lead Parts Counterperson builds sales by developing dealer and distributor programs and processing orders and directing customer fleet service repair into our service centers.

Responsibilities

• Works with counter personnel to update service department on backordered parts list twice a week.
• Train new parts personnel on procedures and navigating our system.
• Works hand in hand with service department to make sure procedures are followed and department procedures are efficient.
• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Reviews and understands the numbers needed to achieve the Monthly/Yearly goals in the parts and service department.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements, specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information within a timely matter.
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six-plus months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexible schedule - must be available to work some Saturdays.
• Must have computer proficiency.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Valid driver's license.
