Job summary

Elko Motor Company is seeking an experienced Parts Counter-person to join our team in Elko, NV. You will oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, quote prices, and ensure accurate stocking and invoicing for service repairs.

You will read parts catalogs, communicate with customers and staff in a friendly, professional manner, and locate parts quickly to keep the shop moving. This is a full‑time, on‑site role with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer-oriented, self-motivated team player.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid drivers license.
• Computer literate.
• One to two years of automotive parts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers
• Pull and fill orders from stock
• Assist in weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
• Invoice orders

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish


• Communicate with customer on parts status


• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner


• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
