Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a Parts Counter Representative to assist customers at the parts counter or by telephone. You will process orders, determine needed parts using manuals and data, and coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate parts fulfillment.

Applicants should have an AA degree or equivalent and exceptional interpersonal skills, plus the ability to read and interpret operating instructions.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals

Responsibilities

• Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Utilize industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers, as well as diagnostic assistance to customers
• Contact vendors to order parts
• Review invoices to ensure parts received accurately reflect parts ordered on original requisition forms
• Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed; inventory parts in warehouse periodically
