Castongia Tractor is seeking a Parts Counter Sales Person to support our Fowler operation, helping customers find parts, quote prices, and process orders in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Join a family-owned business with 85+ years in Northwest Indiana. Prior auto parts sales is preferred. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, read parts catalogs, and maintain strong organizational skills for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience in auto parts sales preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Able to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and other figures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Review shop estimates to ensure correct pricing.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or materials needing attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders.
• Ensure internal part requests are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Responsibilities
