Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers is seeking a Parts Front Counterperson to assist customers with selecting parts, prepare quotes, and process orders at our Houston, TX location. The role involves coordinating with the shop and service teams, pulling parts from inventory, and ensuring accurate pricing and invoicing for repair orders.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work bilingual where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional manner
• Provide price quotes and information over the phone
• Pull and fill orders from warehouse inventory and notify when parts are out of stock
• Ensure proper labeling and invoicing for parts and service orders
• Maintain clean counter areas and assist outside sales reps as needed
