Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers, a growing network of full-service commercial truck centers, seeks a customer-focused team member in the Houston area. The role involves visiting customers, generating new business, and coordinating parts and service sales to support growth while maintaining professional standards and strong customer relations.

You will engage with customers, handle parts orders, and ensure accurate delivery instructions and pricing approvals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to counter staff and advises stock vs. emergency status.
• Verifies delivery dates for non-stock items with customers before ordering.
• Reviews special orders with the parts manager and secures approval.
• Obtains parts manager approval for any special pricing.
• Instructs counterperson on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates service sales with service salespeople.
• Folds in call reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
• Updates customer records with name/address changes and new customers on mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintains professional appearance.

• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintains professional appearance.
