Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Parts Counter Sales representative to assist customers with part selections over the counter, by phone, or in the shop. The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and accurate order processing.

You will pull stock, quote prices, and support internal and external customers while promoting add-on items and maintaining clean counter areas. Prior parts sales experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in parts counter sales or an Associate degree plus 1 year in the industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities

• Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts.
• Replenish assigned inventory.
• Assist Outside Sales Representatives with their orders.
• Make over-the-counter and telephone sales, invoice customers, and take payments.
• Promote sales by telephone, mail, and email.
• Keep counter areas clean and uncluttered.
