Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a parts counter assistant to assist customers purchasing parts, at the counter or by phone. You will process orders, receive and distribute equipment parts, and support the service department.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree or equivalent, strong computer skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. You will read and interpret maintenance manuals and instructions to identify parts accurately.

• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers, as well as diagnostic assistance to customers.
• Contact vendors to order parts.
• Review invoices to ensure parts received accurately reflect parts ordered on original requisition forms.
• Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed.
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed; inventory parts in warehouse periodically.

Job Description

Provides assistance to customers who wish to purchase parts at the parts counter or via telephone. Orders, receives and distributes equipment parts on behalf of customers.
