The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, automotive parts experience preferred, and strong customer service and computer skills. You will use catalogs and dealership systems, maintain inventory, and contribute to a high-energy, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Automotive dealership parts experience is preferred.
• Experience with automotive parts catalogs, dealership management systems, inventory systems, or similar technology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Comfortable with part numbers, pricing, discounts, quantities and other calculations.
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
• Willing to learn manufacturer products, systems, processes, and procedures.
• Accuracy matters and you take ownership of getting the right part to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Assist service technicians and advisors with identifying, locating, and supplying the correct parts.
• Assist retail and wholesale customers at the parts counter and by phone with inquiries, availability, pricing, and ordering.
• Use electronic catalogs and dealership systems to identify and look up parts.
• Provide pricing, availability, and estimated delivery information.
• Pull and fill parts orders accurately and efficiently from inventory.
• Process special orders, backorders, and emergency orders and monitor status.
• Communicate with technicians, advisors, customers, and department personnel regarding parts availability and order status.
• Locate parts from outside sources when necessary to minimize repair delays.
• Ensure parts issued to Service are billed to the correct repair order.
• Review estimates to verify correct parts and pricing.
• Receive payment from retail customers and process transactions accordingly.
• Prepare parts for shipment, delivery, or pickup.
• Help receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory.
• Perform regular bin checks and inventory verification.
• Notify Parts Management of low-stock or high-demand parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized counter and work area.
• Build strong relationships with technicians, service advisors, vendors, and customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency and customer satisfaction.
