Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories using product knowledge and inventory systems
- Process sales transactions efficiently through POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit, or digital payments with professionalism
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and updating records using inventory management software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with the service team to fulfill parts orders promptly, ensuring timely vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales, orders, and inventory levels; utilizeMicrosoft Excel for tracking data when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Support dealership marketing efforts by promoting available products and special offers to enhance retail sales
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service procedures to assist customers effectively
- Excellent negotiation skills to upsell parts and accessories while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base are highly valued
- Familiarity with inventory management tools like CMMS and POS systems for seamless order fulfillment and stock control
- Proven organizational skills to manage stock levels, process orders accurately, and maintain a tidy work environment
- Experience with retail math for calculating discounts, totals, and profit margins accurately
- Effective communication skills for engaging with customers, team members, and vendors both in person and over the phone
- Knowledge of dealership experience or retail sales environments enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Basic automotive repair understanding to better assist customers with vehicle maintenance questions
- Strong math skills for handling cashiering duties such as cash handling and transaction balancing
