Job summary

White Cap is seeking a customer-focused team member to assist equipment customers with the right parts for maintenance and repair. You’ll support order processing, inventory control, and provide product knowledge to resolve customer issues.

Located on-site, this role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and basic computer skills. Prior parts sales and machinery knowledge are preferred, with 2–5 years in related work.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2–5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist equipment customers in supplying the correct parts for maintenance and repair.
  • Process orders, quote prices, and enter orders into the system.
  • Pull orders and prepare items for outbound shipments.
  • Keep parts stockroom and warehouse clean and organized.
  • Assist with inventory control, receiving inventory, bin locating, and cycle counts.
  • Provide product knowledge, troubleshoot, and help resolve customer issues.

Job Description / Qualifications

Responsible for assisting equipment customers in supplying the correct parts needed to maintain and repair equipment. Serves to bolster our relationship with customers from a product support standpoint.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
  • Processes orders, quotes prices, and enters orders into the system and provides other information to the customers.
  • Pulls orders as required and processes items for outbound shipments.
  • Ensures cleanliness of parts stockroom and warehouse.
  • Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.
  • Performs inventory control functions including, receiving inventory, bin locating, and cycle counts.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of products and their applications (provides technical advice, troubleshoots, and helps resolve customers’ problems).
Nature and Scope
  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
  • None.
Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education And Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
