Job Summary:
The Parts Coordinator manages inventory, processes parts orders, and supports service and maintenance teams, ensuring that the right parts are available at the right time to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, including receiving, stocking, and issuing parts.
- Collaborate with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs and projects.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory as needed.
- Process parts orders, returns, and warranty claims with vendors and suppliers.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts area, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored.
- Assist in preparing parts for delivery or pickup, including packaging and labeling.
- Update and maintain parts database.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide backup and support to Parts Manager.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Basic computer skills including MS office applications (e.g., MS Outlook, MS Excel).
- Knowledge of mechanical or industrial parts (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance.
