Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Parts Coordinator to manage ordering, receiving, storing, and dispatching parts for repairs. You will verify part quality, track inventory by RO numbers, and maintain accurate MIS records.

Strong organization and communication are essential to support fast-paced shop needs. The role requires 1–3+ years of automotive parts experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with Summit/Repair Centre, Mitchell, and Audatex systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3+ years of experience with automotive parts; auto body parts is a bonus.
• I-CAR registration or progress toward Gold Class is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Communicate customer requests to the team.
• Order and receive parts per repair orders and verify quality.
• Distribute parts to shop per production schedule.
• Enter part invoices into the MIS.
• Label and track parts by RO number and vehicle.
• Order supplemental parts in MIS and monitor performance.
• Reconcile vendor invoice history daily.
• Post invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.
• Ensure negotiated discounts on vendor invoices.

You control your future.Job Description:The Parts Coordinator’s primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while proactively managing the process of ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching and returning parts for each repair order. The Parts Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by verifying the accuracy and quality of parts received in a timely manner as per the production schedule and vehicle needs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.Work with vendors to order and receive all parts as indicated on the repair orders confirming the quality, correctness and quantity of parts received, accurately identifying parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop.Ensure timely parts distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.Enter all parts invoices into the recommended Management Information System (MIS).Label and track all parts by the R.O.# and store them with the vehicle and/or scheduled repairs; Communicate all Parts Price Changes (also known as Parts Price Increases - PPI) to all required team members.Order and receive supplemental Parts in the MIS, monitor performance of parts, materials and sublet vendors.
