Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Parts Clerk to support maintenance operations by managing parts inventory, coordinating purchases, and ensuring timely availability of materials for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. You will maintain inventory accuracy, utilize CMMS and OEM documentation to source parts, process orders, support work orders, and help minimize equipment downtime

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CMMS; iMaint preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial settings preferred.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
  • Order maintenance parts and supplies from OEMs and approved vendors.
  • Use manuals, drawings, and equipment docs to source correct parts.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts in designated locations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
  • Assist maintenance and production staff in locating parts and processing requests.
  • Support creation and tracking of work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Distribute parts to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with shop organization and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain records of inventory transactions in the CMMS.

Job description

The Parts Clerk is responsible for supporting maintenance operations by managing parts inventory, coordinating purchases, and ensuring timely availability of materials needed for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, organization, and customer service while working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and performing duties with a constant focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Order maintenance parts and supplies from OEMs and approved vendors.
  • Utilize OEM manuals, technical drawings, and equipment documentation to identify and source correct replacement parts.
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately stock incoming parts and materials in designated inventory locations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and inventory control processes.
  • Assist maintenance and production personnel in locating parts and processing parts requests.
  • Support the creation and tracking of work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Distribute parts and materials throughout the facility as needed to support maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assist with maintenance shop organization and support minor maintenance projects throughout the plant.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and purchasing activities within the maintenance management system.
