Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Parts Associate to research and supply parts over the counter, by phone, and through the shop. You will maintain parts inventory, assist technicians, and ensure accurate records and timely service.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of parts handling experience, be mechanically inclined, organized, and customer-focused. This role requires working indoors and outdoors with occasional lifting and steady teamwork across dispatch and field techs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years parts handling experience.
• Prefer 2 years material handling equipment parts experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• MS Navision and SAP preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant communication with dispatch and field technicians on schedules, order status and needed parts.
• Coordinate with shop manager and technicians on order status and parts.
• Greet and serve clients courteously and promptly; assist in identifying and obtaining needed parts.
• Fulfill orders and requests for information via telephone and over the counter.
• Identify parts to meet client requirements to minimize part return errors.
• Maintain accurate sales and inventory records; ensure parts are charged to repair orders.
• Requisition non-stock or special-order parts; locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources as needed.
• Assist in training and knowledge up-skilling on products and services.

Ensures appropriate stock and inventory of parts and accessories by requisitioning through various sources.
