Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service (SSI) is seeking a full-time sales/field service role in Mobile, AL, servicing Taylor equipment and generator parts. The position entails generating sales, providing field service, and developing customer relationships in the Mobile/Saraland area.

You will attend trade shows, quote services in the field, and work with sales reps to grow service opportunities. A valid driver’s license and overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED equivalent.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Generates sales of equipment & generator parts, service, rentals, and rebuilds on Taylor Forklift and generator make and models.
• Quot es services in the field and work with all customer relations.
• Develop new customers in assigned territory while maintaining current accounts.
• Attend industry trade shows and conferences to strengthen the company brand and develop customer relationships.
• Create and implement strategies for generator service and rental growth.
• Work with sales representatives to build relationships and secure service opportunities.
• Provide detailed weekly call reports to the Sudden Service Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Generates sales of equipment & generator parts, service, rentals, and rebuilds on Taylor Forklift and generator make and models
• Quotes services in the field and work with all customer relations.
• Develop new customers in assigned territory while maintaining current accounts.
• Attending and working industry trade shows and conferences to strengthen the company brand and develop customer relationships.
• Create and implement strategies for generator service and rental growth.
• Work closely with the sales representatives to develop a relationship with their customers to gain service opportunities.
• Incumbent is to provide a detailed call report to the Sudden Service Manager weekly to discuss customer concerns and demands in the field.
• Maintains and submits accurate and timely expense reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic knowledge of computers
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess tact and diplomacy with customer base and peers.
• Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, since employees will be driving company owned vehicle and will be covered under corporate insurance which has strict coverage requirements.
• Incumbents will be required on occasion to stay overnight at out-of-town locations.
