DARCARS Automotive Group is now hiring for a Parts Advisor!

As the Parts Advisor, you are tasked with selling parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, on the phone, and online. This is a unique opportunity for someone with little experience or those seeking advancement. We have new direction and support looking to the future. In this role, you'll:

1. Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure full product line exposure.
2. Pull purchased parts from stock.
3. If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested.
4. Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and information.
5. Assist outside sales reps with their orders.
6. Set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup.
7. Verify WILL CALL and BACKORDER files weekly and manage stock accordingly.
8. Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
9. Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs.
10. Notify service desk and customers when parts are received.
11. Ensure technicians present a repair order before parts are charged out.
12. Display seasonal parts and accessories attractively.
13. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bins, aisles, and storage areas.
14. Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and coworkers.
15. Offer high-level service across all dealership departments.
16. Issue credit slips for returned parts, verifying invoices and pricing, with approvals as needed.
17. Keep counters clean and uncluttered.
18. Report unsatisfactory conditions to the Parts Manager.
19. Stay current on new products and updates.
20. Participate in training programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Strong communication skills to explain parts information effectively.
3. Knowledge of automotive OEM parts.
4. Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds preferred.
5. Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
6. Availability to work on Saturdays.
7. Must be at least 18 years old.
8. Valid driver’s license.
9. Ability to pass pre-employment background screening.
