Job summary

BMW of Eugene, part of Swickard Auto Group, seeks a precise and fast Parts Advisor to support technicians and service teams. You will fill internal parts orders, process retail and wholesale sales, look up OEM part numbers, and communicate backorders clearly to keep service throughput moving.

If you have dealership parts counter experience, familiarity with electronic catalogs and DMS, and a valid driver’s license, you’ll thrive in our collaborative, guest-focused environment in Eugene, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Dealership parts counter or automotive aftermarket experience preferred.
• Accurate and fast parts lookup using electronic catalogs.
• Proactive communicator about backorders and supersessions.
• Organized and detail-oriented with inventory discipline and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Fill internal parts orders for service technicians accurately and efficiently.
• Process retail and wholesale parts sales for walk-in guests and accounts.
• Look up BMW OEM part numbers using catalogs and identify correct parts, supersessions, and alternatives.
• Communicate backorders, substitutions, and availability updates proactively to technicians and service advisors.
• Process parts returns, cores, and warranty parts according to department procedures.
• Assist with receiving, binning, and inventory organization to keep the department accurate.
• Maintain accurate records in the DMS throughout every transaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Fill internal parts orders for service technicians accurately and efficiently -- pulling, staging, and delivering parts to the correct bay without delay
• Process retail and wholesale parts sales -- assisting walk-in guests and wholesale accounts with parts lookup, pricing, and order fulfillment
• Look up BMW OEM part numbers using electronic parts catalogs -- identifying correct parts, supersessions, and compatible alternatives accurately
• Communicate backorders, substitutions, and availability updates proactively to technicians and service advisors -- parts delays that aren't communicated create repair delays that reach the guest
• Process parts returns, cores, and warranty parts accurately and per department procedures
• Assist with receiving, binning, and inventory organization as needed to keep the department accurate and accessible
• Maintain accurate records in the DMS throughout every transaction

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dealership parts counter, automotive aftermarket, or comparable parts experience preferred -- BMW or European brand parts familiarity a meaningful advantage
• Accurate and fast with parts lookups -- you know how to navigate an electronic parts catalog efficiently and you verify part numbers before pulling, not after
• Proactive communicator -- when a part is backordered or superseded, the technician and advisor hear it from you immediately, not when they come looking for it
• Organized and detail-oriented -- the right part to the right bay at the right time is the standard, and inventory accuracy depends on consistent binning and documentation discipline
• Comfortable with DMS platforms or quick to learn them
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
