Kelley Kronenberg’s Tampa General Liability practice is seeking a Partner-level litigator to lead and grow a high-volume team in our Tampa office. You will carry your own complex defense caseload while guiding strategy, mentoring associates, and shaping the group's direction.

You will work with the Business Unit Leader and firm leadership to drive growth, develop talent, and expand client relationships, including cross-state collaboration across the national GL platform.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• A minimum of 6 years of General Liability defense litigation experience.
• First-chair trial/arbitration/mediation experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently while guiding junior attorneys.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills and a client-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of General Liability defense matters from inception through trial.
• Lead the Tampa GL team alongside the Business Unit Leader and the Chair of General Liability.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and staff.
• Deliver high-quality client service and maintain relationships with carriers and in-house counsel.
• Contribute to business development and client retention with the Marketing team.
• Collaborate across Kelley Kronenberg's national GL platform to deploy resources.

Overview

Kelley Kronenberg's Tampa General Liability practice is growing — and we are looking for a Partner-level litigator ready to take on a meaningful leadership role within a high-volume, high-impact team.

Partner – General Liability

Location: Tampa

This is not a lateral move into a static book. You will work alongside an established Business Unit Leader and the firm's Chair of General Liability to drive case strategy, develop talent, and expand one of the fastest-growing offices in our national GL division. You will carry your own caseload of complex defense matters while also playing a direct role in shaping the direction, culture, and growth trajectory of the Tampa team.

If you are a skilled GL litigator who wants to try cases, lead people, and grow within a firm that is investing heavily in its Dallas operation, this is the opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of General Liability defense matters from inception through trial, including pre-suit evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Serve as a key leader within the Tampa GL team, working directly alongside the Business Unit Leader and the firm's Chair of General Liability to set priorities, allocate resources, and execute on the team's growth plan.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop associate attorneys and support staff, helping to build a team culture grounded in high standards, accountability, and professional growth.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality client service and maintain strong working relationships with carrier clients, adjusters, and in-house counsel.
• Contribute to business development efforts, client retention strategies, and the expansion of existing client relationships with support from the firm's in-house Business Development and Marketing team.
• Collaborate across Kelley Kronenberg's national GL platform, leveraging the firm's resources, institutional relationships, and multi-state capabilities to deliver results for clients.

Qualifications

• First-chair trial, arbitration, or mediation experience strongly preferred.

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, sound legal judgment, and a client-first approach to case management.
• A leader who is ready to invest in the success of the people around them — not just their own docket.
