The role involves growing our channel sales team to meet increasing demand from channel partners. The Partner Sales Executive will report to the Director, Americas Channel Sales, and will be responsible for achieving annual growth quotas by developing and executing channel strategies, recruiting new partners, and managing relationships within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement channel strategies for distributors and resellers in the territory.
  2. Increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in Open Source and Cloud solutions.
  3. Identify, recruit, and onboard new partners.
  4. Leverage networks and prospecting skills to grow partner relationships.
  5. Guide partners through onboarding and enablement processes.
  6. Develop go-to-market plans with partners.
  7. Conduct sales and pre-sales training for resellers.
  8. Manage the channel pipeline through ongoing partner interactions.
  9. Ensure partner satisfaction and act as a trusted advisor.
  10. Maintain regular contact with key resellers and distributors.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology field.
  • Experience in software or technology sales.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu.
  • Proven sales achievement and self-motivation.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
  • Experience with startups is advantageous.
