The Partner Sales Executive, North America, will report to the Director, Americas Channel Sales. The role involves developing channel strategies, recruiting new partners, guiding onboarding, and managing partner relationships to achieve growth quotas. The candidate should be comfortable working in a startup-like environment, selling open source, cloud, virtualization, and technical software solutions, and engaging with partners and customers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and executing channel strategies for distributors and resellers in the territory.
  • Increasing awareness of Canonical in open source and cloud markets.
  • Recruiting new partners and leveraging networks for engagement.
  • Guiding partners through onboarding and enablement processes.
  • Creating go-to-market plans with partners.
  • Conducting sales and pre-sales training.
  • Managing channel pipeline and maintaining partner satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology field.
  • Experience in software or technology sales.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu.
  • Proven sales achievement and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a distributed team.
  • Start-up experience is a plus.

US or Canada.
