The role

We’re looking for a driven Partner Specialist with energy, passion, and initiative to drive partner awareness and channel new business for MongoDB. The Partner Sales team focuses on pipeline generation through Partners within assigned territories, resulting in growth and new customer acquisition.

This role can be based in our Chicago office or remotely in the Midwestern United States.

What you’ll do

  1. Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop a sales pipeline through Global/Regional System Integrators.
  2. Work with our Enterprise Sales team to close business and meet/exceed bookings objectives.
  3. Recruit and build strong partner relationships, resulting in growth opportunities.
  4. Own all partner-related activities on behalf of VP - Area Sales.
  5. Manage Partners at an Area level and coordinate with the Global team.
  6. Participate in sales enablement trainings, including Sales Bootcamp and leadership programs.

We’re looking for someone with

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying field experience in a fast-paced, competitive market focusing on new business.
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying experience generating pipeline and selling through Global/Regional System Integrators in a sales matrix environment.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology.
  • A record of overachievement and hitting sales targets.
  • Skills in building business champions and managing complex sales processes.
  • Previous sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales).
  • Familiarity with databases, DevOps, and open source technology is a plus.
  • Drive, competitiveness, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Effective time and resource management skills.
  • Quick learner with high emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Passion for growing your career in the software (database) market and deep understanding of MongoDB products.
