Job description

Overview

Lead Partner Opportunity in Orlando for our Burgeoning Construction Division. Kelley Kronenberg is expanding its Construction Litigation Practice in Central Florida and is looking for a Partner‑level attorney with an established book of business and the drive to build something bigger.

Whether you're running your own shop, leading a practice group at a mid‑sized firm, or looking for a platform that actually rewards the business you bring in, this role is designed to give you the support system your practice deserves.

About This Opportunity

This role is built for construction litigators who have the clients, the courtroom experience, and the industry relationships, but need a better platform to scale. You may be:

  • A solo practitioner or small‑firm leader who is tired of splitting time between managing overhead and practicing law, and is ready for a firm that handles the business side so you can focus on your clients and your caseload.
  • A partner at a mid‑sized or boutique firm who wants access to dedicated business development and marketing teams, a deeper bench of attorneys, and a national referral network that generates new opportunities.
  • An experienced construction litigator who wants a compensation model that directly rewards the business you originate and the results you deliver, not firm tenure or internal politics.
Responsibilities

You will lead complex construction litigation matters from strategy through resolution while driving the growth of Kelley Kronenberg's construction practice across Central Florida. That includes managing all phases of litigation (discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and trial), developing and deepening client relationships with developers, contractors, insurers, and design professionals, and collaborating with firm leadership on strategic expansion. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys and shape the team around you as the practice grows.

Benefits Of Partnership At Kelley Kronenberg

This isn't just another lateral move. It's a strategic partnership designed to accelerate what you've already built. You'll have access to:

  • In‑house business development and marketing teams dedicated to helping you grow your client base, raise your profile, and win new work, so you're not doing it alone.
  • A profit‑sharing compensation model that rewards results and leadership, not just billable hours. Your book of business and your growth are recognized and compensated accordingly.
  • A national referral network across more than a dozen offices and multiple practice areas, creating natural cross‑selling opportunities that bring new matters to your desk.
  • Firm‑funded infrastructure including practice management support, talent acquisition resources, and operational backing so you can build your team without building the back office.
  • A collaborative culture with real mentorship, where knowledge sharing, professional development, and long‑term career investment are part of how the firm operates, not just talking points.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of five years of substantive experience in construction litigation, including construction defect claims, contract disputes, lien law, and delay claims.
  • A portable book of business with established client relationships, or a demonstrated ability to develop new business in partnership with the firm's internal resources.
  • Experience managing legal teams and directing litigation strategy.
  • Strong client relationship skills with a track record of retaining and growing accounts.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary plus profit‑sharing compensation structure.
  • Firm‑paid PPO health insurance, plus dental and vision options.
  • Generous PTO, floating holiday, and mental health day.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • A diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and career advancement support.
