Job summary

DLA is seeking a Partner, Corporate Investigations to lead and expand our FVLS practice, tackling complex forensic accounting matters and investigations alongside litigation teams. You will oversee engagements, drive client relationships, and mentor analysts across multiple industries.

The role emphasizes growing the investigations capability, delivering expert analyses, and collaborating across firm practices to resolve high-stakes disputes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in forensic accounting, corporate investigations, litigation consulting, or financial disputes
• Experience investigating complex financial matters such as fraud investigations, financial statement fraud, asset misappropriation, embezzlement, securities fraud, insider trading, Ponzi schemes, or whistleblower allegations
• Experience performing forensic analyses including reconstruction of financial records, asset tracing, and detailed financial analysis to support disputes or investigations
• Prior experience providing litigation support, preparing expert analyses, or participating in matters that may involve expert testimony
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CFF, ABV, ASA, or CFA are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with litigation attorneys and other legal professionals who serve as referral sources for investigations and disputes work
• Experience leading investigative teams and managing complex engagements in a consulting or advisory environment
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial matters to attorneys, clients, and non-financial stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead complex forensic accounting investigations involving fraud, financial misconduct, and disputed financial matters
• Oversee financial record reconstruction, asset tracing, and financial analysis in support of litigation
• Provide litigation support, including expert analyses, financial evidence review, and expert reports
• Serve as an expert or consulting expert in matters involving financial fraud or disputes
• Investigate allegations such as financial statement fraud, asset misappropriation, embezzlement, insider trading, and Ponzi schemes
• Build relationships with litigation attorneys and other referral sources for investigations and disputes work
• Lead investigative teams and manage complex engagements in a consulting environment
• Collaborate with other DLA practices to support disputes and investigations
• Grow the FVLS investigations practice through thought leadership and market visibility
• Ensure high-quality service and favorable engagement economics
