Job summary

Workday is hiring for a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the data foundation for Global Partner Operations in Austin, TX. You will design dimensional models in Snowflake, build ELT pipelines from CRM/PRM and other systems, and own the semantic layer and Sigma models used by managers and stakeholders.

You will translate complex partner program logic into durable, traceable transformations with strong governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sales analytics, partner analytics, revenue operations, analytics engineering or data engineering.
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience (window functions, CTEs, complex joins, incremental logic, performance).
• 5+ years building data models in a cloud data warehouse with Snowflake experience.
• 5+ years in dimensional data modeling and data warehouse design (star/snowflake, grain, SCD).
• 5+ years developing dashboards, semantic models, or governed datasets; Sigma preferred.
• 5+ years implementing data governance — quality controls, lineage, access management, documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dimensional data models in Snowflake for multiple partner tracks.
• Develop and optimize ELT pipelines from CRM, PRM, partner portal, marketplace and other systems.
• Own the certified semantic layer and Sigma models with metric definitions and governance.
• Translate program logic into version-controlled transformations with traceable sources.
• Establish and enforce data governance across the partner data domain.
• Build reporting foundation for partner attribution across regions and tracks.
• Model partner capacity and capability data to support planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve ambiguous requirements into durable data architecture.
• Build reconciliation and validation tooling for reviews and audits.
• Improve warehouse performance through tuning and incremental design.
• Assess data implications of changes before launch and plan model updates.
• Mentor less experienced analysts on SQL, modeling patterns, and code review.
