Partner – Corporate & Transactional Practice

Location: San Francisco or New York preferred, but not required

Qualifications & Expectations

Candidates must hold a J.D. and be admitted to practice (or eligible for admission) in the relevant jurisdiction, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate and transactional law and a strong track record in venture capital, private equity, M&A, securities offerings, corporate governance, or commercial agreements. Experience in technology, digital assets and blockchain, fintech, clean energy, or other emerging growth sectors is strongly preferred. We also appreciate those who have been former founders or previously owned their own business.

Candidates should bring a portable book of business and a demonstrated ability to originate client relationships, with the drive to actively cultivate new business. We are looking for someone who thinks like a business owner — not just a practitioner — and who can articulate a clear vision for growing their practice within our platform. Active participation in firm leadership, mentoring, and strategic planning is also expected.

Responsibilities

As a Partner, you'll join a collegial team whose practices span venture capital, digital assets and blockchain, traditional corporate, and outside general counsel services. You will have the autonomy to shape and grow your own practice while benefiting from the firm’s established platform and reputation.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a K-1 partnership position. Partner compensation is based on a formula designed to mutually benefit the partner and the firm, with earning potential commensurate with experience, existing clients, and potential business. The firm offers access to a broad range of health, wellness, retirement, and other benefit plans. Partners who elect to participate in the firm's group health benefit plan will be responsible for 100% of the cost of these benefits. This is a partnership position, not an employment relationship. Compensation is governed by the partnership agreement.
