Job summary

CONCERN seeks a Partial Hospitalization Mental Health Worker to support students in the Elkland High School program in Mansfield. Working under the Mental Health Professional, you will provide individual and group sessions, track progress, and coordinate care with school staff within school, home, and community settings.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; valid driver's license and clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Alternative: associate degree with 1 year experience in behavioral/mental health.
• High School diploma with 2 years behavioral health experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe clients, implement treatment interventions, and provide case management as needed.
• Lead group and family sessions in school, home, and community under supervision of MHP.
• Coordinate care with other service systems and assist with staff liaison activities.
• Record data, track progress on objectives, and complete required charting and audits.
• Attend MHP staff meetings and maintain confidentiality and licensing standards.
• Attend required trainings per program requirements.

We are looking for a part-time variable mental health worker for Elkland Highschool Program in Mansfield. Operating under the direction of the Mental Health Professional, you have the rewarding opportunity to provide children and families with the guidance and structure needed to succeed in life

What Do I Need?
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with major course work in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
OR
Associate's degree or at least 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Gerontology, or other social science with 1 year of experience in a behavioral/mental health field.
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of experience in a behavioral/mental health field.

Other Requirements

• You will maintain a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
• You will maintain all required clearances.
• You will have the ability to use typical office equipment.
• You will have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

What Will I Do?

• You will observe your clients, implement individualized treatment interventions, and administer appropriate case management when necessary
• You will provide group and family sessions in the school, home, and community under the direction of the Mental Health Professional (MHP) and participate as needed in treatment team meetings that offer support and input from all areas of the client's life.
• You will coordinate care with other service systems and assist with the delivery of in-service training and liaison activities with school staff
• You will record client data, track progress on treatment objectives, and complete required chart documentation and quarterly chart audits as assigned by your supervisor.
• You will meet with the MHP for staff meetings and individual and group supervision as required.
• You will maintain a high level of professional confidentiality standards and uphold all regulatory licensing requirements of the position.
• You will attend training courses per program requirements.

School Year
Monday-Friday 8am-3:30pm
Summer Break
Monday-Friday 9am-3pm
