Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking an Ancillary Services Treatment Advocate in Newark, OH. The role is contingent and involves transporting youth to appointments with a compensation of $20.00 per hour plus mileage, up to 19 hours per week.

The position emphasizes one-on-one advocacy with adolescents and families, offering hands-on experience in behavioral health and community services. A flexible schedule and opportunity to contribute to youth treatment plans are highlighted.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s enrollment preferred.
• Willingness to travel daily for client visits within the community.
• Ability to meet clients on a flexible schedule, including after-school hours and weekends.
• Proficient use of computers, smartphones, and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions for clients while being transported to appointments.
• Contribute to youth treatment/service plans as needed.
• Engage youth to build trust and support goal attainment.
• Provide PSR and/or TBS services with training provided.
• Document conversations and outcomes for billing and reporting.
• Identify community resources to support youth development.
• Assist in family reunification efforts.
• Respond to crises during daytime, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
