Qualifications

• Advanced student or professional in a selected field
• Demonstrate expertise in the proposed offering area
• Experience working with youth in formal and informal settings
• Experience supporting youth of differing abilities and learning styles
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Willingness to teach with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; teaching certification or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop course syllabus and day-to-day curriculum with age-appropriate activities
• Deliver instruction according to contract dates and times
• Differentiate instruction and allow self-paced study when necessary
• Coordinate opening/closing events for the program
• Attend staff orientation and meetings as required
• Create a conducive classroom environment for cooperative and hands-on learning
• Conserve supplies and manage resources efficiently
• Notify program staff of concerns and contribute recommendations
