Job summary

University of Washington is seeking an experienced instructor for the non-credit UX Research Specialization within the Continuing Education program. This part-time, online teaching role involves delivering evenings sessions (6-9pm PST) for a 10-week course series, September to December 2026, with CEU-based compensation per course.

The instructor will customize content, assess competencies, maintain current materials, and collaborate with program staff while observing FERPA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional UX research experience including qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and teach with minimal supervision.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach design and deliver online UX Research courses using Zoom.
• Present learning content, assess competencies, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Develop syllabi, adapt curriculum, and align lessons with course objectives.
• Coordinate with instructors and program staff to ensure curriculum continuity across courses.
• Promote the program and engage with the student community to increase enrollment.
