Job summary

The Spot in Louisville, CO is seeking a Part-Time Speed Team Coach to guide youth teams, develop training plans, and mentor climbers. Coaching spans competitions, curriculum development, and teamwork with the Head Coach to create engaging, age-appropriate programs.

Responsibilities include leading practices on Fridays 5PM-8PM, supporting workouts, and possibly substituting for weekday teams. Requires climbing and coaching experience, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and community

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years climbing experience (indoor/outdoor/bouldering/sport).
• 2+ years competing in speed climbing.
• Must be top rope and lead belay certified.
• Minimum 1 year coaching experience with youth/adults.
• Excellent communication with kids and parents.

Responsibilities

• Coach competitive climbing teams and support events.
• Record curriculum and participant performance.
• Develop age-appropriate, risk-managed programs.
• Attend training and lead/co-lead coach meetings.
• Maintain safety standards and CPR/First Aid basics.
