Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of the South, Inc. dba Upbring is seeking a Residential Support Specialist (Part-Time) in Canyon Lake, TX.

The role provides supervision and support to youth in a structured, therapeutic setting and involves implementing individualized care plans. You will collaborate with staff to ensure safety, dignity, and well‑being, while modeling positive behaviors and assisting with transportation duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older per licensing requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience working with people.
• Familiarity with basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills and ability to document clearly.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Good judgment in difficult and stressful situations.
• Ability to work extra shifts on business need.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, interact with, and observe youth, ensuring safety and adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor schedules, attend meetings, supervision, and training to meet licensing and program requirements.
• Collaborate with management, clinical staff, and volunteers to meet program goals and provide high‑quality services, including transportation duties when required.
• Accurately entering all required youth information, reports, and incidents into the system.
• Provide back‑up support to other dorms as needed and model positive behavior.
