Job summary

Seven Counties in Kentucky seeks a part-time Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical recovery support, lead groups, and connect clients with community resources. You will collaborate with the treatment team, develop recovery plans, document progress, and help clients build self-advocacy and social skills while meeting state certification requirements.

The role requires maintaining records and completing training in accordance with ADC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold KY Youth Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Registration with KY ADC Board is required.
• Must obtain 1 year recovery per KY ADC rules.
• Maintain training and documentation to meet Certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participates as an active member of the treatment team.
• Assists clients in developing recovery plans.
• Provides education and resources about recovery and wellness.
• Implements and coordinates recovery plans with evaluation and follow-up.
• Models recovery and teaches coping strategies.
• Links clients to resources in collaboration with case management.
• Maintains accurate case records and documents progress.
• Provides advocacy on behalf of clients.
• Informs supervisor of issues related to clients.
• Manages caseload to meet productivity targets.
• Keeps continuing education requirements and training documentation up to date.
