Job summary

Reach Family Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Youth Mentor to support youth ages 5–17 across the Greater Phoenix Area.

This role focuses on individualized and group mentoring to help youth develop life skills, emotional wellness, social skills, and positive behaviors through structured, community-based activities. You’ll work 16–20 hours per week, primarily weekday evenings, travel to homes and community settings, document progress, and collaborate with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adolescents in education, childcare, or social services.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage youth and families empathetically.
• Energetic, patient, and adaptable in dynamic environments.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to commit to 16–20 hours weekly (weekdays evenings, some Saturdays).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentoring focused on life skills and emotional wellness.
• Facilitate activities that develop social skills, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
• Support academic engagement and healthy peer interactions.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support individualized goals.
• Document progress notes, support plans, and monthly summaries.
• Travel across the Greater Phoenix Area to provide services; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
