Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is seeking an Inclusion Specialist for the KIDSTOP program at Oak Hill KIDSTOP in St. Cloud, MN. This part-time role supports members with higher needs to help ensure their success in the program.

You will model positive behavior, apply behavior management strategies, and assist individuals in group or one-on-one settings while collaborating closely with staff and volunteers to foster a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to relate well with members in KIDSTOP group environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable and mobile when supervising special needs members.
• Is aware of KIDSTOP policies and will abide by them.
• Ability to remain calm and positive in stressful situations.
• Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.

Responsibilities

• Support members with higher needs to ensure their success in the KIDSTOP program.
• Model appropriate behavior aligned with KIDSTOP expectations.
• Identify behavior triggers and de-escalate situations professionally.
• Assist special needs individuals in group settings or one-on-one.
• Handle toileting and hygiene issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and volunteers.
• Participate in staff meetings and maintain program equipment and facilities.
