The Boys’ Club of New York is seeking a Junior Group Leader to guide and supervise youth aged 10–12, ensuring safety and engagement in program activities at our Bronx location. The role supports part-time staff and volunteers, fostering positive interactions and developmental experiences for members.

You will work under supervision to plan age-appropriate activities, encourage learning, and maintain a supportive, inclusive environment for boys in a dynamic after-school setting.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or two years related experience preferred.
• Junior level or higher preferred.
• Teaching Assistants and Para Professionals encouraged to apply.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a group of 10-21 boys.
• Plan, develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum of interactive challenges, activities and games for members that lead to core competencies.
• Provide guidance, problem-solving facilitation, and behavior modification direction as needed.
• Participate with group in indoor and outdoor activities, including games, arts and crafts, theatre, computer lab, swimming, and field trips.
• Assist with daily set-up, daily clean up, and transportation.
• Ensure proper care of all area materials, organize room and report any misused or damaged materials to the department director to prevent injuries or damage.
• Complete and timely submission of all program reports including supply requests, lesson plans and timesheets.
