BYU Pathway seeks a part-time seminary teacher to guide youth through the restored gospel. This entry-level role includes lesson preparation, engaging instruction, and supporting students in their learning journey under a program administrator.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, strong classroom management, clear communication, empathy for youth, and a commitment to continual learning and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to teach, motivate and coach students in gospel knowledge and testimonies.
• Competent in using a variety of skills to manage a classroom.
• Good communication skills and self-awareness of communication impact.
• Ability to work with youth and show empathy for their challenges.
• Ability to build constructive working relationships with integrity and respect.
• Humility and collaboration with colleagues and peers.
• Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of supporting students with disabilities, including diverse needs.
• Familiarity with Church policies and the ability to meet employment requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Learn the gospel in partnership with a program administrator.
• Prepare and present lessons to students.
• Assist students in fulfilling their learning roles.
• Teach in the Savior's Way, focusing on Jesus Christ and the Spirit.
• Create gospel-centered learning experiences rooted in scripture.
• Participate in regular training to improve performance and development.
• Seek and act on student feedback and observations by leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
