Job summary

Rite of Passage’s Southern California Treatment Program in San Pedro, CA is hiring a Youth Care Professional to provide safety and supervision for residential youth in a supportive environment.

You will monitor behaviors, assist with educational and recreational activities, and work with other departments to meet each youth’s treatment plan. Entry rate starts at $23/hour; a $1,000 bonus after completing Essential Skills Training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
• Must possess one listed qualification: degree/permit/certification or relevant direct experience.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, respect, and genuine desire to work with troubled teens.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for residential youth.
• Monitor and document youths' behaviors and actions.
• Participate in educational and recreational activities and support treatment goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet each youth’s treatment plan.
