Job summary

Willamalane is seeking a part-time Sports Coach for Elementary School Basketball. The role involves providing instruction, leadership, and supervision of participants in athletic programs, leading skill workouts, practices, and competitions in an organized structure.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and four years of experience in community education or parks and recreation, with First Aid and CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalency with four years of experience in community education, parks and recreation, or related area.
• Experience working closely with youth and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and schedule practice and games for participants.
• Secure practice areas and ensure safety from hazards.
• Report injuries to the Recreation Supervisor and provide first aid when needed.
• Carry emergency paperwork and participant information to practices and competitions.
• Check and clean locker rooms daily and supervise sign-out of students.
• Attend coaches meetings and trainings; perform related duties as required.
