Job summary

Salvation Army Kerrville invites applications for a part-time recreation role to care for children in a safe, clean, and engaging environment. You will lead age-appropriate learning activities and provide opportunities for physical and mental stimulation both indoors and outdoors.

The position requires at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and may favor candidates with six months of supervised child-care experience. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience supervising children in a camp, school, or community center preferred.
• Equivalent training and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures that children remain on task for activities.
• Maintains program materials and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Ability to deal with stressful situations comfortably.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
