Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a part-time Switcher/Package Handler in Wisconsin. You will move trailers between yards and doors, hook and unhook trailers, and assist with loading and unloading packages by hand, following safety procedures.

You will use yard equipment and scanners, coordinate with management to plan movements, and perform pre/post-trip inspections as required. No formal experience required, but a valid driver’s license and a DOT file are preferred.

Qualifications

• No education required
• No prior experience required; 6 months preferred
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and maintain a DOT file
• Ability to read labels and sort packages accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving trailers between yard and doors
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment
• Load and unload packages onto delivery vehicles, trailers, and carts
• Sort packages by scanning labels and reading charts
• Follow safety procedures in yard switching and package handling
