Job summary

SimonMed in Sun City West, AZ, is hiring a part-time X-ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography with careful technique and patient comfort. You will operate radiologic equipment, document imaging details in the EHR, and maintain safety standards.

A 2-year credential in radiologic technology with ARRT certification is required, with BLS preferred. Experience in outpatient settings and proficiency with PACS/RIS/EMR systems are desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• State license as required by law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of X-ray tech experience in outpatient/ambulatory care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams using proper techniques and positioning.
• Prepare, position, and assist patients during imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment with calibration and cleanliness.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and document details in EHR.
• Apply radiation protection techniques per ALARA and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and team members.
• Assist with scheduling, clerical tasks, and workflow coordination as needed.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students during clinical rotations.
