Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License.
• New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of NYS License.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently per orders.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain diagnostic images while minimizing exposure.
• Set and adjust technical factors to ensure image quality.
• Review images for technical quality before submission to PACS/EMR.
• Follow radiation safety principles (ALARA) and shielding.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures.
